Pharmacy Assistant

About the role

Grace Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and organised Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team on a full-time basis in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan. This is a crucial position within our healthcare operations, where you will provide essential support to our pharmacy operations and directly contribute to ensuring our patients receive safe and effective medication services. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be instrumental in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our pharmacy whilst working alongside our pharmaceutical professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting pharmacists in the preparation, packaging, and labelling of medications according to prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
• Managing inventory and stock control, including receiving, organising, and maintaining pharmacy supplies and medications
• Operating pharmacy systems and equipment to process prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Maintaining detailed records of pharmaceutical transactions and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Providing courteous customer service to patients, answering routine enquiries and directing complex questions to qualified pharmacists
• Assisting in the organisation and maintenance of a clean, safe, and hygienic pharmacy environment
• Supporting the pharmacist in quality assurance and medication safety checks
• Performing data entry and administrative tasks related to pharmacy operations
• Assisting with pharmaceutical counselling materials and patient information where appropriate

What we're looking for

• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification, with pharmacy-specific training or certification preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling medications and medical records
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks in a busy pharmacy environment
• Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and computer applications
• Clear communication skills and a professional, courteous demeanour when interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, medication classifications, and basic pharmacology principles
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team and follow instructions from qualified pharmacists
• Understanding of pharmacy regulations, safety protocols, and infection control procedures
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights safely
• A commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is advantageous
