Pharmacy Assistant

About the Role

Greencross Pharmacy is a community pharmacy based in West Kirby, Wirral, and we are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has an interest in pharmacy and healthcare and would like to develop their knowledge and experience within a community pharmacy environment.

You will work as part of the pharmacy team, supporting the Pharmacist and Dispensary team with the day-to-day running of the pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serving patients at the pharmacy counter

• Receiving and handing out prescriptions and pharmacy items

• Assisting patients with general queries and directing clinical questions to the Pharmacist

• Processing prescription collections

• Answering telephone calls and dealing with enquiries professionally

• Supporting the dispensary team with prescription preparation

• Stock receiving, shelving and replenishment

• Checking stock and expiry dates

• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised pharmacy

• Supporting deliveries and collection services

• Following pharmacy procedures and maintaining patient confidentiality

• Supporting the wider pharmacy team with day-to-day tasks

• Previous pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate. Previous experience in healthcare, retail or customer service would be an advantage.
