Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
• Manage inventory by receiving deliveries, restocking shelves, and monitoring medication expiry dates
• Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, offering medication guidance, and supporting medication administration processes
• Maintain precise medical terminology records and update patient files in accordance with privacy regulations
• Support the pharmacist with administrative tasks such as data entry, labeling prescriptions, and processing insurance claims
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and pharmacy protocols during medication handling and storage

Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy experience or familiarity with healthcare environments is highly desirable
• Experience working as a pharmacy assistant or in a similar role is preferred
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
• Passion for patient care with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with diverse populations
• Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools is advantageous
• Certification or training related to pharmacy assistance or healthcare support is a plus

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
