Experienced Pharmacy Assistant

Health-Wise Pharmacy is looking for an experienced, friendly, and dependable Pharmacy Assistant to join our community pharmacy team.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a busy pharmacy environment, provides excellent customer service, and can confidently support pharmacists with day-to-day dispensary operations.

Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting pharmacists and the pharmacy manager with daily pharmacy operations
• Processing prescriptions using Kroll
• Assisting with prescription preparation and filling
• Preparing and managing blister packs
• Providing excellent customer service in person and over the phone
• Handling front-counter and cashier duties
• Responding to patient inquiries and directing clinical questions to the pharmacist
• Ordering and receiving medications and pharmacy supplies
• Managing and organizing pharmacy inventory
• Maintaining an organized, efficient, and professional work environment
• Performing other pharmacy-related duties as required

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have:

• Minimum 2 years of Canadian community pharmacy experience
• Experience using Kroll is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of community pharmacy workflow
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with patients
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Friendly and professional interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transportation to and from the pharmacy

Position Details

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience
