Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing to ensure accuracy and safety
• Manage inventory levels by receiving deliveries, organizing stock, and conducting regular stock checks
• Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, offering medication information, and guiding patients through pharmacy services
• Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
• Maintain clear documentation of prescriptions, inventory records, and patient interactions to uphold regulatory standards
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate medication orders and fulfill patient needs efficiently
• Uphold cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy to promote a safe and professional environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar healthcare support role is highly preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage inventory and documentation accurately
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
• Certification or training in pharmacy assistance or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy assistant to join our friendly busy pharmacy team.

This position is for a full time or part time assistant. Hourly rate is dependant on experience and age.

Hours in the range of Monday - Friday 8.45 to 6pm ; Saturday and 9am-1pm

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing pharmacy services:

• Dispensing of NHS & private prescriptions.
• Advice and support for patients and customers.
• Stock control and management
• Must be computer literate (essential)
• must be fluent in English

Experience in a Community Pharmacy is not essential, training will be provided where necessary.
