Pharmacy Assistant

Solace Neurobehavioural Center is looking for a responsible Pharmacy Assistant. The Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the pharmacy, maintaining medicine stock, assisting with dispensing activities under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist, and ensuring proper storage and organization of medicines.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist in dispensing medicines as per prescriptions and established procedures.

Maintain proper stock of medicines and other pharmacy supplies.

Check medicine expiry dates regularly and remove expired or damaged stock from available inventory.

Receive, verify, and arrange medicines according to storage requirements.

Maintain accurate records of medicine purchases, sales, stock movements, and inventory.

Assist in preparing purchase requests and coordinating with suppliers for medicine replenishment.

Ensure proper storage of medicines, including temperature-sensitive products.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy and storage areas.

Support billing, cash handling, and preparation of pharmacy invoices, where applicable.

Assist in maintaining pharmacy registers, stock records, and other required documentation.

Follow hospital policies, pharmacy procedures, and applicable safety and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff regarding medicine availability.

Report stock shortages, damaged medicines, and discrepancies to the pharmacist or pharmacy manager.

Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum qualification: Plus Two; a pharmacy-related qualification or relevant experience is preferred.

Previous experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of medicines, inventory management, and pharmacy billing.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software.

Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.

General Responsibilities

The employee must adhere to hospital policies, maintain professional ethics, and perform any other pharmacy-related duties assigned by the reporting officer within their scope of responsibility.

Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹8,000.00 per month
