Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing to ensure accuracy and safety
• Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and ordering supplies as needed
• Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, offering medication guidance, and supporting medication administration when appropriate
• Maintain detailed records of prescriptions, patient information, and pharmacy transactions in compliance with legal standards
• Use medical terminology accurately to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients
• Support hospital staff by coordinating medication deliveries and ensuring timely availability of essential drugs
• Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to all safety protocols to protect patient privacy and ensure a secure pharmacy environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly preferred
• Experience as a pharmacy technician or similar role is advantageous
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
• Demonstrated commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools is a plus
• Certification or training related to pharmacy assistance or healthcare is desirable but not mandatory
