Pharmacy Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) workflows and must hold a valid driver's license for commute. This position requires strong communication skills, strict adherence to healthcare regulations, and a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient care.environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
• Manage inventory by restocking supplies, checking expiration dates, and maintaining proper storage conditions
• Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions, verifying prescriptions, and offering guidance on medication usage
• Enter prescription data into pharmacy systems with precision and attention to detail
• Handle administrative tasks such as filing records, processing insurance claims, and maintaining documentation
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards related to medication handling and patient confidentiality
• Support the pharmacy team during medication administration processes when necessary
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency

Requirements

• Prior experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting is preferred
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations, medical terminology, and medication administration procedures
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
• Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Certification or training as a pharmacy technician is a plus but not mandatory
• Commitment to patient care excellence and confidentiality
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed within the healthcare facility’s schedule

Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
