Pharmacy Assistant (Part-time)

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals

• Assist pharmacists and colleagues in dispensing medications and maintaining accurate medication records

• Prepare and package medications for distribution to patients

• Manage inventory and stock medications

• Enter prescription information into the computer system

• Answer phone calls and address inquiries or concerns

• Assist patients and customers with purchases and product selection

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
  - Minimum of 1 year experience in community pharmacy or similar setting
• Familiarity with pharmacy laws, regulations, and procedures and the importance of patient confidentiality
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and record keeping
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of patient care practices and the ability to provide compassionate care
• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (preferably Kroll) for prescription processing and inventory management
