What they need
Job Overview
The Opportunity: Build technical skills. Solve real problems. Work with advanced pharmacy automation. This is a hands-on technical career for someone who likes figuring out how things work. You will learn to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and support pharmacy automation systems that combine computers, software, networking, electronics, and mechanical equipment. You will work directly with customers, experienced technicians, sales, operations, and product specialists while building skills that can lead to more advanced field service, technical support, training, and product roles.
What You Will Do
· Install and help bring pharmacy automation equipment into production at customer locations.
· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, computer, software, and basic networking issues - both remotely and on-site.
· Use available technical resources and work with experienced team members to solve difficult customer problems quickly.
· Train pharmacy staff on the safe and effective operation of automation equipment and software.
· Provide phone, email, and remote-desktop support to customers and field technicians.
· Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, upgrades, and equipment configuration.
· Work with software, engineering, vendor partners, Sales, Operations, and other technical teams to resolve issues and improve products.
· Assist with product demonstrations, new-product introductions, customer implementations, and technical training.
· Maintain clear service, installation, and activity documentation and communicate regularly with technical management.
· Continue learning through manufacturer training, online courses, field experience, and mentoring.
· Represent Noritsu professionally and build strong relationships with customers and partners.
Who We Are Looking For
We are interested in ability, curiosity, and drive - not just years of experience.
· Naturally curious and enjoys troubleshooting, fixing, building, or taking things apart to understand them.
· Comfortable with computers and interested in learning Windows, networking, software interfaces, electronics, and electro-mechanical systems.
· Good communicator who can explain technical information clearly and treat customers professionally.
· Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and willing to ask questions and learn from experienced teammates.
· Comfortable using hand tools and learning to use electrical test equipment and read basic schematics.
· Willing to travel, including occasional air travel, and work overtime when customer needs require it.
· Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
Education & Experience
We encourage candidates with different technical backgrounds to apply. Relevant experience may come from school, military service, internships, technical hobbies, help-desk work, electronics, automotive/mechanical work, robotics, manufacturing, field service, pharmacy technology, or other hands-on technical environments.
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Technical school, associate degree, bachelor's degree, industry certification, or related hands-on experience is helpful but not required for every candidate.
· Prior experience with field service, remote technical support, Windows/networking, electro-mechanical equipment, or custom software is a plus.
· PTCB certification or pharmacy experience is a plus, but not required.
