Pharmacy Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate personal vehicles designated for pharmacy deliveries
• Load and unload medication packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary
• Follow optimized route plans to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
• Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures when required, and ensure accurate documentation of all deliveries
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams using mobile devices to report progress or address any issues during routes
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks before and after each shift
• Practice safe lifting techniques during loading/unloading processes to prevent injury and comply with heavy lifting safety standards

Skills

• Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving and customer service excellence
• Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations, including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks
• Experience driving commercial vehicles such as box trucks or vans, with a valid driver’s license suitable for the vehicle type (manual transmission experience preferred)
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, weight handling in the workplace, and safe lifting practices
• Ability to operate mobile devices efficiently for navigation, communication, and record keeping
• Strong physical stamina for moving heavy packages safely and efficiently during load & unload activities
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere strictly to schedules while maintaining safety standards

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
