Duties

• Assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
• Prepare medication labels, package prescriptions, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
• Verify prescription details against medical records and medication orders for correctness
• Support medication administration processes by providing clear instructions to patients when needed
• Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications, inventory levels, and stock replenishment
• Provide friendly, professional service to patients, answering questions and offering guidance on over-the-counter products
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of pharmaceuticals and adherence to hygiene standards

Requirements

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar medication dispensing role is highly desirable
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy operations
• Strong commitment to patient care with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment
• Good communication skills to interact confidently with patients and healthcare professionals
• Basic computer skills for record keeping and inventory management
• Certification or training related to pharmacy assistance or medication handling is a plus but not mandatory

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 44.0 per week
