Pharmacy Dispenser

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that patients receive their medications accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support the overall functioning of the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of medication, including counting tablets, measuring liquids, and labelling prescriptions.
• Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications and offering guidance on their proper use.
• Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications and manage inventory levels to ensure availability of stock.
• Collaborate with pharmacists to identify any potential issues with prescriptions, such as drug interactions or allergies.
• Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance knowledge of medication administration and pharmacy practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of patient care principles and medication administration practices.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and healthcare professionals.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards within the pharmacy setting.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy dispensing or related fields are preferred but not mandatory.
