Pharmacy Dispenser

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that patients receive their medications safely and efficiently. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care, while also managing the dispensing of medications in accordance with established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medication usage, side effects, and storage.
• Assist in the administration of medication under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and ensure proper labelling of all products.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to manage inventory levels and assist in stock management.
• Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy environment to promote safety and efficiency.
• Participate in training and development activities to enhance professional skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser is essential.
• Should be proficient with ProScript PMR
• Strong understanding of medication administration processes and patient care practices.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 – 49.0 per week
