Pharmacy Dispenser

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. Prior pharmacy technician experience and knowledge of medication administration are highly desirable.

Duties

• Prepare and dispense prescribed medications in accordance with healthcare regulations and pharmacy procedures
• Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness before dispensing
• Assist patients with medication queries and provide guidance on medication usage
• Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
• Support inventory management by stock checking and reordering supplies as needed
• Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care outcomes
• Support medication administration processes where applicable, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to protocols

Experience

• Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with dispensing procedures and medication management
• Knowledge of medication administration practices is advantageous
• Experience in patient care roles, particularly within healthcare or community settings, is desirable
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing and record keeping
• Strong communication skills to effectively assist patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
