First Stop Pharmacy is an independent Scottish pharmacy group, established in 2011, with branches across Glasgow, Lanarkshire and the West of Scotland. We're big enough to invest in our people and technology, and small enough that you'll be known by name.

The role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working team player to join the experienced team at our Cleveden Road branch in Glasgow’s West End. It's a busy, friendly community pharmacy, and we want someone who will help us grow both our NHS and private services.

What you'll be doing

• Accurately dispensing and labelling prescriptions
• Giving patients a warm, helpful welcome at the counter and on the phone
• Managing repeat and serial prescriptions
• Ordering, receiving and putting away stock, and carrying out date checks
• Supporting the pharmacist with NHS services, including Pharmacy First
• Following standard operating procedures and keeping the dispensary tidy and organised

What we're looking for

• A positive, upbeat attitude and a good work ethic
• A real team player who gets on well with colleagues and patients
• Good attention to detail and the ability to stay calm when it's busy
• A recognised dispensing qualification (SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent), we will consider applicants willing to work towards this
• Previous community pharmacy experience is preferred but not essential
