Pharmacy Dispenser / Dispensing Assistant

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Pharmacy Dispenser to join our community pharmacy. This is a varied role suited to a proactive individual who is confident working across both the dispensary and front-of-shop, providing excellent patient care and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispensing NHS and private prescriptions accurately
• Using ProScript PMR system for prescription processing and patient records
• Managing repeat prescriptions and liaising with GP surgeries
• Supporting both dispensary and medicines counter (front shop) operations
• Providing advice on over-the-counter products and handling customer queries
• Supporting stock management and general pharmacy duties
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Upholding patient confidentiality and delivering compassionate care at all times

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) – essential
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser in a UK pharmacy
• Confident using ProScript PMR system (essential)
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
