Pharmacy incharge

Job Purpose: The Person in this Position is responsible to meet the Drugs/Medicine requirement of Hospital, Inventory Management, identification of vendors, raising PO i.e entirely run the pharmacy by oneself. Primary Responsibilities:

Overseeing organizational medicine list and it’s use. Identify the vendors, take quotation, compare the rates, Ensure quality of medicine, TAT , Procure Medicine, handle invoices, clearance of Payment, necessary Coordination and intimation to S.O Ensure proper process is followed before procuring the Drugs/Medicine

a) Handling the inventory management by requesting indent.

b) Raising the PO request.

c) Issuing and receiving (physical & system) of goods from vendors d) Scanning of invoice and sending the same to the purchase department

e) Ensure preparation of GRN note after the authorization of PO

f) Thorough checking of expiry date for all medicines on a quarterly basis both physically and in system

g) Handling and query resolution of the entire IP pharmacy

h) Sorting non-moving and near expiry medicines as per vendor and sending them back by issuing gate-pass.

Supervising cash management done by staff, checking of cash deposit receipts given by billing department each day.

In case of unavailability of medicines, coordinating with doctor for substitute Double check of look-alike/sound alike/high alert medicines.

Review annually medication list for the patient safety and efficacy

As per doctor requirement to check the comparative rates, simultaneous keep brief of the same to S.O

Negotiation for scheme with supplier/manufacturer for the approved medicines

Staffing, training, License addition/Deletion:

a) Recruit, train, guide/coach New incoming staffs as per the requirement.

b) Supervision of existing staff, Train the student’s for internship

c) Ensure to prepare proper duty roster so that Skilled staffs available 24/7

d) From time to time add, delete the license of Pharmacist’s at Drug controller’s office to run the Pharmacy smoothly.

Leading pharmacy committee keep abreast with Pharmacy industry happening.

Attending the Medical Representative for new molecule and brand

• Audit of medicines at nursing station for their expiry and storage condition
• Assisting assistant pharmacist in routine work whenever required
• Second check on the rates are properly supplied for the rate negotiated for the organization. Communication

: a) Ensure Pharmacy has necessary letter formats to communicate with Drug Controller & related department(s).

b) Maintain MIS regarding purchase, Vendor list, contacts & other quick facts. Ensure Pharmacy runs smoothly.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per hour
