📍 Location: Metro Lexington, KY

💰 Competitive Pay

🌴 PTO: 3 weeks vacation

🕐 Pharmacy Hours

The pharmacy is currently operating on reduced hours due to staffing shortages:

• Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Sunday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

📈 Anticipated Future Schedule

Future hours are expected to expand to:

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
• Weekends: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

As the Pharmacist in Charge, you will help oversee daily pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance, medication safety, quality patient care, and a strong team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• 💊 Oversee prescription review, verification, and dispensing
• 🛡️ Ensure compliance with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy regulations and applicable federal laws
• 👥 Supervise, support, and develop pharmacy technicians and interns
• 🗣️ Provide medication counseling and promote safe and effective medication use
• 🔎 Review prescriptions for appropriate dosing, interactions, and potential safety concerns
• 🤝 Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• 📦 Oversee medication inventory, ordering, storage, and controlled medication processes
• 💉 Administer immunizations and provide authorized clinical pharmacy services
• 📋 Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation
• ✅ Lead quality assurance, medication safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
• 🔐 Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• 📚 Ensure ongoing professional development and licensure requirements are maintained

🎓 Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy ( PharmD ) degree from an accredited institution
• Active Kentucky Pharmacist License in good standing
• Qualifications necessary to serve as Pharmacist in Charge under applicable Kentucky requirements
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical care, drug therapy, and medication safety
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively lead a pharmacy team in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and electronic health records
