DailyPlus Pharmacy is a new independent community pharmacy located in Brockton, Massachusetts. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and dependable Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to help lead the opening and ongoing operation of our pharmacy.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys leadership and would like to play an important role in building a new pharmacy, developing efficient workflows, establishing strong patient and healthcare-facility relationships, and maintaining high standards of pharmacy practice and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge and provide day-to-day leadership of pharmacy operations.
• Ensure compliance with Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy requirements and applicable state and federal pharmacy laws.
• Oversee prescription processing, verification, dispensing, counseling, and medication safety.
• Establish and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, workflows, and quality standards.
• Maintain appropriate pharmacy records and documentation.
• Oversee controlled-substance inventory, recordkeeping, security, and accountability.
• Manage medication inventory, purchasing, receiving, storage, returns, and expiration monitoring.
• Provide immunizations and other pharmacist-authorized patient care services as applicable.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and support pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy personnel.
• Develop efficient workflow procedures to provide accurate and timely prescription services.
• Assist with third-party insurance, PBM, Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial prescription processing.
• Address insurance rejections, prior authorization issues, and medication access concerns when appropriate.
• Maintain appropriate pharmacy security, sanitation, temperature monitoring, and medication-storage standards.
• Prepare the pharmacy for regulatory inspections and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Assist with pharmacy services for long-term care facilities when applicable.
• Provide oversight of compounding services in accordance with applicable policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with ownership to support the successful launch and growth of DailyPlus Pharmacy.
• Help establish strong relationships with patients, prescribers, long-term care facilities, healthcare organizations, and the surrounding Brockton community.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must:

• Hold a current and unrestricted Massachusetts pharmacist license and be eligible to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge.
• Hold a PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
• Be in good standing with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
• Have strong knowledge of federal and Massachusetts pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Have experience with community/retail pharmacy operations.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
• Be comfortable working in a startup environment and helping establish pharmacy operations and procedures.
• Have experience supervising pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy personnel.
• Have knowledge of prescription insurance processing and third-party billing.

Required Certifications/Documents

Applicants must submit or provide documentation of the following:

• Current Massachusetts Pharmacist License
• Current Immunization Administration Certification/Certificate
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR Certification
• Current résumé/CV

Additional documentation required by Massachusetts law or DailyPlus Pharmacy may be requested as part of the hiring and credentialing process.

Preferred Qualifications – Added Advantage

The following experience will be considered a strong added advantage:

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacist-in-Charge, or lead pharmacist.
• Long-term care (LTC) pharmacy experience, including servicing nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, group homes, or other long-term care settings.
• Experience coordinating medication services with nurses, prescribers, caregivers, and healthcare facilities.
• Pharmaceutical compounding experience, particularly non-sterile compounding.
• Knowledge of applicable compounding standards, documentation, quality assurance, and safety requirements.
• Experience with pharmacy startups and preparing for pharmacy inspections.
• Experience with inventory management, immunization services, third-party billing, PBMs, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Experience developing relationships with healthcare facilities, prescribers, and community organizations.

The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, patient-focused, detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, and committed to maintaining a compliant and successful pharmacy operation. A pharmacist with experience in community pharmacy, long-term care pharmacy, and compounding would be particularly well suited for this position.
