The Utility Associate is responsible for supporting Distribution Center operations through cooler preparation activities, product staging, packaging support, sanitation, and general housekeeping duties. This role ensures cooler operations run efficiently by preparing totes and supplies for order selectors while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The Utility Associate must be flexible and willing to perform a variety of operational tasks based on daily business needs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Cooler Preparation

• Sort and organize returned cooler totes.
• Inspect totes for cleanliness and usability.
• Pre-build and stage cooler totes for Cooler Pickers to ensure efficient workflow.
• Cut, prepare, stock, and replenish cooler product supplies as needed.
• Maintain organization and inventory of cooler packaging materials and supplies.

Production Support

• Assemble boxes and packaging materials during periods when cooler preparation duties are complete.
• Assist with operational support tasks to maintain productivity across departments.
• Ensure workstations remain fully stocked and organized.

Cleaning and Sanitation

• Perform routine cleaning of cooler areas, workstations, and assigned equipment.
• Follow sanitation standards.
• Remove trash, cardboard, and other debris to maintain a safe working environment.
• Support facility housekeeping initiatives.

General Utility Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Assist in various warehouse functions during peak periods or staffing shortages.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications Required

• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred

• Previous warehouse, distribution center, or cooler environment experience.
• Experience with sanitation practices.
• Familiarity with packaging and material handling processes.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, lunging, twisting, and reaching.
• Ability to work in refrigerated cooler environments for extended periods.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate within a warehouse environment up to 10 hours a day.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Pay Range The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $16.00 - $23.56

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
