Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician - FT

Thrifty White Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Maple Grove, MN to assist the Pharmacy team in filling and packaging prescriptions. This location is not open to the public and customer interaction is very limited/virtually non-existent.

Schedules available for this position can vary but any candidate would need to be available 1 night a week until 9pm and 1 weekend per month.

A few of the primary responsibilities include:

• Picking, filling, and correctly labeling prescriptions in various packaging systems and cycle schedules
• Order, maintain, credit medication inventory
• Maintains proper level of nursing home filling procedures.
• Able to learn and implement new and changing technologies on an ongoing basis.
• Able to maintain flexibility in new or changing work roles and the modification of job responsibilities as required.
• Good attendance and punctuality are required in order to fulfill the essential job functions.

  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicant should possess excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, the ability to maintain patient confidentiality, and be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to work 1 night a week until 9pm and 1 weekend per month (both Saturday and Sunday). Registration as a pharmacy technician preferred, but not required. Career development with registration as a Pharmacy Technician-in-Training is available for candidates without technician licensure.
