Part-Time Infusion Pharmacy Technician

Vital Care of New Braunfels is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Pharmacy Technician to join our growing home infusion pharmacy team. This position will support pharmacists with the preparation, coordination, and dispensing of infusion medications and supplies while helping ensure patients receive their therapies safely and on time.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with processing and preparing infusion prescriptions
• Enter and maintain accurate patient, prescription, and insurance information
• Assist with compounding and preparation of sterile medications as permitted by training, certification, and state/federal requirements
• Prepare infusion supplies, pumps, and ancillary items for patient deliveries
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies
• Monitor medication and supply expiration dates
• Coordinate patient deliveries and communicate with patients, nurses, and other members of the care team
• Assist with refill coordination and scheduling
• Maintain accurate documentation within the pharmacy system
• Follow USP <797>, pharmacy policies, infection-control procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy and compounding environment
• Assist the pharmacy team with other operational duties as needed

Qualifications

• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician Registration required
• Pharmacy technician experience preferred
• Home infusion, specialty pharmacy, or sterile compounding experience strongly preferred
• IV/sterile compounding certification or experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Dependable and able to work independently when needed
