Pharmacy Technician

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing medication and healthcare services to patients. Duties:

• Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Utilize aseptic technique to compound sterile products
• Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stocking medications
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective medication use
• Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and standards in pharmacy practice
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred
• Current pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, and drug classifications
• Experience working in an acute care or hospital pharmacy setting is highly desirable
• Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and inventory management
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues
