Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting patient care by assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and providing exceptional service to patients. This position is essential in a fast-paced hospital environment where accuracy and efficiency are paramount.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV infusions, while adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Provide patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications and health products.
• Maintain accurate medication records and ensure proper labeling of all prescriptions.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication administration for patients in acute care and critical care settings.
• Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with patients and staff.
• Perform inventory management tasks, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards of practice.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred; experience in a hospital setting is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmacy practices.
• Familiarity with IV infusion procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Prior experience in acute care or critical care settings is an advantage.
