Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring accurate patient records. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations.

Duties

• Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Conduct final checks on prescription ready for collection that have had a clinical check by the pharmacist.
• Assist patients with medication inquiries and provide guidance on proper usage
• Manage inventory levels, restock supplies, and ensure medication storage complies with safety standards
• Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness before dispensing
• Maintain detailed patient records in accordance with privacy laws and pharmacy policies
• Support medication administration processes in collaboration with healthcare providers when applicable
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy environment to promote safety and efficiency
• Look to and promote the provision and delivery of additional Services both NHS and Private Services including Travel vaccinations and many other Services.
• Be proactive in the development of the service the pharmacy can offer to improve patient care.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role within a retail pharmacy setting
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems
• Strong commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, pharmacists, and healthcare professionals
• Certification or registration as required by local regulatory authorities is preferred but not mandatory

Pay: From £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 37.5 per week
