Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, including sterile IV admixture procedures and compounding medications with aseptic technique.
• Manage pharmacy software systems for data entry, medication tracking, and inventory management while maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
• Assist with pharmaceutical calculations to ensure correct dosages and medication administration, adhering to state and federal pharmacy laws.
• Support patient service activities such as medication intake, patient care coordination, and providing clear medication instructions.
• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards, including drug regulation and medical terminology accuracy.
• Maintain sterile techniques during IV infusion preparation and ensure proper documentation of all pharmacy activities.
• Support hospital or community pharmacy operations by managing medication inventory, verifying prescriptions, and assisting with customer service inquiries.

Experience

• Prior pharmacy technician experience in LTC (Long-Term Care), hospital, or community pharmacy settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of hospital or pharmacy software systems and proficiency in data entry tasks.
• Experience with IV compounding, sterile IV admixture procedures, and aseptic techniques is preferred.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, drug regulation, and state healthcare regulations is essential.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, pharmacological medical terminology, and acute care practices enhances your ability to support clinical pharmacy services.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
• Proven ability to maintain patient confidentiality while delivering exceptional customer service in fast-paced environments.

Pay: Up to $26.00 per hour
