Pharmacy Technician

We are in immediate need of a full time, part-time, or as needed pharmacy technician at the Medicine Shoppe. Hours available are:

• Monday: 9 am - 6 pm
• Tuesday: 9 am - 6 pm
• Wednesday: 9 am - 6 pm
• Thursday: OFF
• Friday: 8 am - 5 pm
• Saturday: 9 am - 1 pm every other Saturday

Hours may vary depending on the needs of our patients. We have high interest in a technician trained to administer vaccines and/or willing to become a community health worker.

Job Responsibilities

• Type new prescriptions
• Assist in counting and filling prescriptions
• Answer phone
• Listen to messages on answering machine
• Handle insurance problems and rejections
• Make doctor calls for problems or refill requests
• Take new prescriptions and transfers over the phone
• Manage inventory
• Put drug order away
• Ring customers out at register
• Process prescription refills
• Give vaccines if licensed
• Anything to take care of patients

Optional, but preferred certifications:

• Immunization certification (assistance can be provided)
• Immunization continuing education completion (assistance can be provided)
• CPR certification (assistance can be provided)

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
