Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including sterile and non-sterile compounding.
Manage medication inventory, perform data entry into pharmacy software systems, and ensure accurate pharmaceutical calculations for dosing and compounding.
Support patient service activities such as intake, medication administration, and providing clear medication instructions while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation standards, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
Handle pharmacy tasks including medication dispensing, drug regulation adherence, and maintaining accurate records of prescriptions.
Utilize pharmacy software efficiently to process prescriptions, update patient records, and document medication histories.
Maintain a high standard of customer service by assisting patients with inquiries, providing medication information using medical terminology, and supporting overall patient care initiatives.

Qualifications
Previous pharmacy technician experience is highly preferred.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, medical terminology, pharmacological medical terminology, and state healthcare regulations is essential.
Experience with pharmacy software systems and data entry processes is necessary for efficient workflow management.
Strong understanding of drug regulation laws, medication administration protocols, and maintaining patient confidentiality is crucial.
Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to work accurately under pressure in acute care or hospital settings are needed.
