Pharmacy Technician

Qualifications:

Registered Pharmacy Technician (Required at time of start date)

1 year of pharmacy of experience (Highly Preferred)

Certified Tech (Bonus)

Immunization certified (Bonus)

Ability to work every third weekend (only Saturday 9am - 12pm)

Reliable, punctual, professional, great customer service skills and computer skills

Responsibilities:

Enter, package and label all prescription orders (new and refill) correctly and efficiently. Screen prescriptions for validity and accuracy. Calculate correct days supply for all prescriptions.

Process prescriptions through insurance accurately. Assist with prior authorizations.

Answer incoming calls and complete customer requests or questions. Direct to pharmacist when appropriate.

Complete cash register transactions for customer pick ups, payments, and purchases.

Provide spectacular customer service to each and every customer in store, drive thru, and on the telephone.

Check inventory for out of dates, unused stock, and correct filing.

File prescriptions and paperwork as needed.

Stock over the counter inventory. Help customers find over the counter products.

Assist in shipping department (packaging, labeling, drop offs, and pick ups).

Maintain a clean and tidy work area.

Assist in immunizations (entire process) if qualified.

Additional job duties may be assigned as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
