Pharmacy Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full-Time Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred, flexible schedule with possible weekend coverage if needed. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in delivering exceptional patient care. This position involves assisting but not limited to medication preparation, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and providing outstanding service to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Maintain accurate patient records filing, medication dispensing and medication releasing.
• Providing customer service in retail pharmacies, hospitals, and other healthcare settings.
• Manage inventory by ordering supplies, checking expiration dates, and restocking shelves as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and handling prescription refill requests and answering phone calls promptly.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
• Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records.

Skills / Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician certification or license is required.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy practice.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to excel in a fast-paced environment and ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 48.0 per week
