Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including compounding and labeling prescriptions accurately
• Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment and proper storage according to safety standards
• Support patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions and updating medical records with precision
• Administer medications under supervision, adhering strictly to aseptic techniques and safety protocols
• Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, clarifying medication instructions, and ensuring understanding of treatment plans
• Maintain detailed documentation of medication administration, inventory logs, and pharmacy records
• Follow all hospital and pharmacy protocols related to IV infusion preparation, critical care procedures, and acute care standards

Requirements

• Prior pharmacy technician experience with a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication management
• Experience working in LTC pharmacy, hospital, or acute care settings preferred
• Knowledge of aseptic technique for sterile compounding and IV infusion procedures
• Familiarity with medication administration processes and patient care workflows
• Critical care experience is highly desirable for supporting complex medication needs
• Excellent communication skills focused on patient service and team collaboration
• Certification as a pharmacy technician (or equivalent) is required or in progress; ongoing education in pharmacy practice is a plus
