Pharmacy Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various pharmacy settings, including LTC (Long-Term Care) and retail environments. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients, as well as providing exceptional patient care and service.

Duties

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications
• Manage medication intake processes, ensuring accuracy in patient records and prescriptions.
• Provide patient service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering guidance on medication administration.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
• Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and patients.
• Support critical care initiatives by collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards of practice.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is required; experience in LTC pharmacy or retail settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and acute care practices is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service and care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
