Pharmacy Technician

Overview

Support the safe and efficient supply of medicines while helping patients receive attentive, respectful care. As a Pharmacy Technician, you’ll work with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team to manage prescriptions and provide reliable day-to-day pharmacy support.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process prescriptions, checking details carefully and referring queries to the pharmacist.
• Prepare, label and dispense medicines under the appropriate supervision and procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient and stock records, and help manage medicine storage and inventory.
• Support patient care by responding courteously to enquiries and directing clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Your impact: Accurate prescription support helps patients access the right medicines safely and enables pharmacists to focus on clinical care.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician experience is desirable; relevant training or experience in a pharmacy setting is an advantage.
• Understanding of medication handling, confidentiality and safe working practices.
• Patient care skills, clear communication and a calm, considerate approach.
• Medication administration experience is useful where relevant to the role and local requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a busy environment.

Pay: £27,420.00-£29,000.00 per year
