Job Title: Compounding Technician

Location: Gilbert, AZ | Onsite

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Compensation: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour

Job Summary:

The Compounding Technician will perform sterile compounding under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This position is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting cleanroom spaces, transferring materials and inventory into the cleanroom, and compounding medications in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compound sterile medications in accordance with USP 797, industry best practices, and established policies and procedures to meet patient needs
• Apply appropriate sterile garb in cleanrooms and controlled environments and use aseptic technique throughout the production process
• Calibrate, use, and maintain compounding equipment, including balances and automated compounding devices
• Clean and disinfect critical areas within the cleanroom
• Transfer materials and inventory into the cleanroom in accordance with established procedures
• Perform other job duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• State Pharmacy Technician licensure/registration where required
• Excellent time-management skills, including reliability, punctuality, and adherence to the production team’s schedule
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
• Strong attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours or more and perform duties that may include sitting and walking
• Ability to regularly use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, and controls and reach with hands and arms
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds

Reports to: Licensed Pharmacist for direct supervision of sterile compounding activities

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
