Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry/Intake

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pharmacy Technician-Data Entry Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in entering accurate patient prescriptions and supporting our operations within a healthcare setting. This position requires proficiency in medical terminology, strong math skills particularly in pharmacy environment.

Duties

• Accurately input and update patient prescriptions into electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Manage data entry tasks related to medication.
• Collaborate with providers and pharmacies to ensure precise documentation and fulfillment of prescriptions.
• Assist in maintaining the integrity of medical data by performing regular audits and quality checks.
• Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries related to their medications.
• Support clinic staff by answering patient medication and prescription questions.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations regarding patient data confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors Degree or equivalent; additional education in healthcare or data management is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly related to pharmacy.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a healthcare environment is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and math skills.
• Proficient in using computer systems and data entry software.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
