Pharmacy Technician (with compounding experience)

NOW INTERVIEWING:

Established retail and compounding pharmacy in Marshfield / Springfield area is seeking experienced candidates for a Pharmacy Technician and/or compounding lab position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation from a Pharmacy Technician program OR successful completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program (i.e., a technical, hospital, or retail-based program), is PREFERRED but not required.
• Compounding experience is a huge plus.
• Experience within the last 36 months as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not required.
• Salary is dependent on experience.

TYPE OF WORK. The duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Perform pharmaceutical dispensing duties including filling new outpatient prescriptions, refilling prescriptions, and entering orders into databases.
• Fill new and refill prescriptions, patient requests, physician's requests, monitoring for drug interactions, and reporting adverse drug reactions.
• Prepare compounded medications following non aseptic techniques and pharmacy protocols.
• Ensure all compounding processes comply with regulatory standards and safety guidelines
• Perform quality improvement duties including performing drug storage inspection, reviewing expired supplies, and producing error and workload reports and documentation.
• Perform supply process duties including placing new orders, stocking/restocking shelves, inventory maintenance, creating out-of-stock reports.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Experience:

• Pharmacy technician: 3 years (Preferred)
• Compounding medications: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (Preferred)
• Pharmacy Technician License (Preferred)
