You'll make an impact by

• You conduct research on autonomous architecture evolution for industrial software, focusing on reliable adaptation during continuous operation
• Building on this, you design and implement architecture evolution loops based on the MAPE-K framework, integrating monitoring, analysis, planning, and execution phases to address real-time and safety requirements
• Subsequently, you evaluate and enhance modularization, observability, and runtime mechanisms to enable zero-downtime upgrades and seamless integration of new components
• Throughout your work, you collaborate closely with academic and industrial partners to validate your concepts in practical environments and refine your approaches based on real-world feedback

• Education: You have already completed or you are currently successfully pursuing a Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field and are interested in pursuing a PhD thesis
• Experience and Skills:
  • You have a solid understanding of software architecture and modularization principles
  • You are familiar with real-time systems and performance modeling in industrial environments
  • You possess knowledge of self-adaptive systems or autonomous software evolution concepts
• Ways of Working: You demonstrate analytical thinking, initiative, and a structured approach to research
• Languages: You have very good English skills
