PHLEBOTOMIST – INPATIENT

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Work in a hospital laboratory utilizing state-of-the-art instrumentation and equipment.
• Laboratory services include chemistry, hematology, blood transfusion testing, and microbiology.
• Position supports the laboratory during implementation and testing of a new laboratory information system while on-site staff receive training.

SCHEDULE

• Shift: 1:30 PM–10:00 PM
• Matching scrubs required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of recent inpatient phlebotomy experience – REQUIRED
• Travel experience – PREFERRED
• BLS certification through AHA – REQUIRED

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform inpatient phlebotomy procedures accurately and efficiently
• Collect and process blood specimens according to laboratory standards
• Maintain accuracy, quality, and patient safety
• Support laboratory operations during the transition to the new information system
• Work collaboratively with laboratory staff and healthcare providers

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Experience in a hospital/inpatient setting is required.
• Position is intended to provide additional laboratory coverage during system implementation and staff training.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
