SalaryRange: $18.08 - $21.70 (Based on Experience)

Description:

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Provide compassionate, professional, and courteous patient care while ensuring patient comfort.
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate collection, labeling, handling, and distribution of specimens.
• Follow established hospital and laboratory policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and properly stocked phlebotomy area.
• Assist patients with timed and sterile urine collections and perform throat cultures using proper techniques.
• Demonstrate knowledge of blood collection procedures, needles, anticoagulants, and special specimen handling requirements.
• Work collaboratively with laboratory staff to support efficient workflow, quality patient care, and timely laboratory services.

Requirements:

• National Certification in Phlebotomy
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR certification
• Phlebotomy experience required
• Computer experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service and patient relations skills
