Phlebotomist

Core Responsibilities

• Patient Interaction: Greeting, verifying identity, explaining procedures, easing anxiety, and ensuring comfort.
• Sample Collection: Performing venipuncture using proper techniques (vacutainer), locating optimal veins, and applying bandages.
• Sample Handling: Accurate labeling, secure storage, and prompt, safe transport to the laboratory.
• Safety & Hygiene: Maintaining a sterile environment, proper disposal of bio-medical waste, and following infection control.
• Logistics & Admin: Scheduling visits, managing inventory (needles, vials), and updating patient records/databases.
• Patient Prep: Informing patients about pre-test requirements (e.g., fasting).

Key Skills & Requirements

• Technical: Proven venipuncture skills, knowledge of sample collection methods.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, compassion, detail-orientation, and professionalism.
• Knowledge: Understanding of safety protocols, infection control, and NABL/CAP standards.
• Logistics: Ability and willingness to travel to various locations.

Work Environment

• Mobile/Field-based: Primarily traveling to patients' residences.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher, Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ₹10,100.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
