Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various medical settings, including clinics, urgent care facilities, and hospitals. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as emergency medicine and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering injections.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical regulations.
• Support medical administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling medical coding.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Provide basic life support when necessary and assist in emergency situations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within Level I Trauma Centers and other healthcare facilities.

Skills

• Proficient in medical terminology relevant to various specialties including clinic, emergency medicine, geriatrics, hospital medicine, and urgent care.
• Experience or knowledge of coding practices for accurate billing processes.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to perform basic life support techniques confidently.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred but not required.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
