What they need
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. The position also requires the ability to quickly solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations that are often stressful. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form is a must.
Experience as a phlebotomist and certification in phlebotomy. Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful.
JOB SUMMARY: Obtains labels, logs and processes blood, urine, and other biological specimens to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
