Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for blood collection by explaining procedures clearly and answering any questions to ease anxiety.
• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture techniques or skin puncture methods, following strict safety and hygiene protocols.
• Label and process specimens accurately to prevent errors and ensure proper testing.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment by disinfecting equipment and disposing of biohazardous waste properly.
• Assist with patient registration, verify identification, and document collection details thoroughly.
• Assist with medical assisting taking vitals, entering patient information, ekgs
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely transportation of specimens for analysis.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to protect yourself and patients at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or similar credential is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in blood collection or clinical laboratory settings is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure specimen integrity and accurate documentation.
• Excellent communication skills to comfort patients and coordinate effectively with team members.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and work efficiently under pressure.
• Knowledge of safety standards, infection control procedures, and biohazard handling regulations.
• A positive attitude, reliability, and a passion for providing compassionate patient care.

Pay: $14.00 - $21.00 per hour
