Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood sampling procedures with confidence, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
• Collect, label, and process specimens accurately, ensuring proper handling for laboratory analysis.
• Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to support clinical assessments.
• Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and maintaining a comforting presence.
• Maintain detailed documentation of specimen collection, processing steps, and patient information in compliance with hospital policies.
• Follow laboratory procedures meticulously to ensure specimen integrity and test accuracy.
• Assist with laboratory techniques such as specimen processing, centrifugation, and storage as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or clinical laboratory settings.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and blood sampling methods including venipuncture.
• Demonstrated ability to perform phlebotomy with precision and aseptic technique.
• Prior hospital or healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Familiarity with vital signs measurement and basic anatomy knowledge is highly desirable.
