Phlebotomist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team. This is a part-time/PRN position providing phlebotomy services to patients in their home, community, or place of residence in the Fredericksburg area including Fredericksburg, Stafford, Orange, Culpeper, Spotsylvania, Caroline, and King George. We offer flexible weekday(Monday-Friday) scheduling with morning shift availability.

Responsibilities:

• Collect Blood and Urine specimens for testing

-Take lab specimens to Quest or Mary Washington for processing

-Monday-Friday shift availability

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation using a electronic health record system

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Qualifications:

• Completion of a Phlebotomy and/or Medical Assistant program or equivalent training

• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic life support techniques

• Experience working in a home based setting is highly desirable

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
