Phlebotomist

Job Summary

IHDLab is seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Phlebotomist who will not only perform blood draws and specimen collection but also serve as a key liaison between our laboratory and our clients. This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure a seamless patient experience while also maintaining positive client relationships and supporting account management functions.

Qualifications

Certification in Phlebotomy (CPT, RPT, or equivalent) required. Minimum 2+ years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or laboratory setting. Strong knowledge of specimen handling, processing, and safety protocols. Customer Service Preferred Qualifications Experience in Customer Service Background in working with diagnostic laboratories, physician offices, or mobile phlebotomy services. Knowledge of insurance processes, billing, and reimbursement for lab services.Soft Skills & Competencies Strong interpersonal skills – Ability to build trust and rapport with both patients and clients. Excellent communication – Clear and professional in verbal and written interactions. Customer service mindset – Dedicated to ensuring positive patient and client experiences. Problem-solving ability – Proactively addresses concerns and escalates issues as needed. Time management – Balances multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
