Woodward Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide safe, accurate, and resident-centered specimen collection while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens accurately and safely.
• Verify resident identification and laboratory orders before collection.
• Properly label, prepare, and handle specimens for laboratory processing.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Follow infection-control, bloodborne-pathogen, and sharps-safety procedures.
• Provide reassurance and compassionate care to residents during blood draws.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy training/certification required.
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience working in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or with the geriatric population is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Dependable, professional, and resident-focused.
