Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Phlebotomist to collect blood samples from patients safely and accurately, follow infection-control protocols, and ensure proper labelling and handling of specimens.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples through venipuncture and other approved techniques.
• Verify patient identity and label samples accurately.
• Follow hygiene, sterilisation, and infection-control protocols.
• Handle, store, and transport samples according to laboratory guidelines.
• Maintain patient records and sample collection logs.
• Provide courteous support to patients and help minimise discomfort.
• Ensure proper disposal of needles and biomedical waste.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or certification in Phlebotomy, Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT), or a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of venipuncture, specimen handling, and infection control.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow hospital protocols.
