Duties

• Collect blood samples through venipuncture and capillary techniques, adhering to strict aseptic procedures and safety protocols
• Prepare and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing, including labeling, centrifuging, and storage
• Maintain detailed records of specimen collection, processing steps, and patient information in accordance with hospital policies
• Assist laboratory staff with routine procedures, sample tracking, and inventory management of supplies
• Ensure patient comfort during specimen collection by providing clear instructions and compassionate care
• Follow all laboratory procedures and safety guidelines to uphold quality standards and prevent contamination

Experience

• Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting or hospital environment is highly preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory techniques such as venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen handling
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for accurate sample collection and patient care
• Experience working with diverse patient populations while maintaining professionalism and empathy
• Familiarity with hospital protocols related to specimen processing, lab safety standards, and documentation practices
• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures including specimen processing and quality control measures

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

• Phlebotomy: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) (Required)

Ability to Commute:
